Service Delivery Manager

GeoPura designs and implements the commercial use of zero-emission fuels, through the provision of innovative technology and commercial solutions, to decarbonise our global economy. GeoPura has a particular interest in developing fuel cells, green hydrogen production and hydrogen carrier technologies and methods.

GeoPura is working in partnership with Siemens Energy to provide this delivery of renewable, zero-emission energy at a large and significant scale. With experience in providing zero-emissions power to a wide range of industries – from construction to film and TV production to outdoor events – GeoPura harnesses hydrogen technology to generate and distribute the vast amount of energy required to decarbonise our global economies. Current clients of GeoPura include Netflix, BBC, HS2 and Polestar EV cars.

As Service Delivery Manager you’ll deliver zero-emissions power by overseeing our HPU installations to our major customers. You’ll work to tight deadlines to deliver customer power on (and off dates) on high-profile deployments, whilst overseeing a deployment through its lifetime onsite.

Responsibilities include:

Service Delivery: Manage our customer onsite experience by delivering energy as a service. This includes ‘but not limited to’

    1. HPU Deployments
    2. HPU De-rigs
    3. Hydrogen deliveries
    4. Onsite service activities
    5. Customer communication

    Key Point of Contact: Act as a key point of contact for our customers, always building strong relationships with a customer-first attitude.

    Raise Work Orders: Raise Work Orders and resource requests from other key teams, holding various internal and external stakeholders accountable to deliver as agreed.

    Run Deployment Meetings: Ensure actions from internal stakeholders (vertical teams) are delivered upon.

    Equipment Accountability: Ensure equipment is accounted for both onsite and offsite post-deployment.

    Customer Meetings & Site Visits: Attend customer meetings and site visits.

    Manage Hydrogen Deliveries: Manage hydrogen deliveries to dedicated HPU sites, and cross-reference hydrogen forecasts to ensure hydrogen is delivered when required.

    Service Appointments: Manage all onsite service activities onsite ensuring our customers

    Customer experience: explain HPU outages and ensure customers are happy with our response 

    Deployment & De-rig Management: Manage allocated HPU deployments to ensure pre-agreed customer power-on dates/times are met through the management of deployment tasks such as customer-facing meetings, booking cranage & transport, requesting labour resources, and hydrogen deliveries

    Customer Service: Ensure outstanding customer service is delivered throughout a deployment’s lifetime. Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and manage communication

    Schedule Management: Manage schedules and resource plans to ensure deployments stay on track, holding various internal and external stakeholders accountable to deliver as agreed.

    Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the Service Delivery team and various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.

    Flexibility: Be extremely flexible and dynamic to meet changing customer requirements.

    Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the sales team, electrical design team, service facility, ROC, field service, operational engineering, renewable fuels, labour schedulers, and onsite teams.

    Track HPU Locations: Track the location of all HPUs and update the location and status tracker accordingly.

    Meeting Management: Lead HPU deployment meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.

    Health & Safety: Ensure the company’s Health & Safety policies are upheld.

    Documentation Maintenance: Maintain and update deployment documentation. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the status of deployments.

      Customer Feedback: Collect customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

      Purchase Orders: Raise purchase orders (POs).

      Reporting: Prepare regular reports on deployment progress, resource utilisation, and operational performance if required.

      Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing new procedures and strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

      Risk Management: Help identify potential risks across service delivery and help develop mitigation strategies.

      Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at scaling operations and improving service delivery.

      System Implementation: Help implement systems and processes to ensure teams are successfully tracking and managing deployments.

      Work Digitally: Complete schedules and resource plans to ensure deployments stay on track.

      Qualifications and Experience

      • Candidates must demonstrate a passion for zero emission / renewable energy
      • Strong experience working in an operations planning/management role
      • Proven experience delivering temporary/permanent installations in relevant sectors such as temporary power, electrical, battery, solar, hydrogen, UPS installations
      • Very strong technical background in the field of engineering (electrical)
      • Experience working on major events and meeting critical deadlines
      • Can demonstrate attention to detail regarding work quality
      • Self-motivated and can manage priorities and workload to meet deadlines
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
      • Desirable – Experience working in the hydrogen industry
      • Desirable – Knowledge of the temporary power industry
      • University Degree in relevant subject or a technical qualification with at least 5 years’ experience at Operations Management  
      • Good working of software applications, such as MS Office, SAP, MS Project with a deep knowledge of maintenance & project planning
      • You must hold a valid, full UK driving license
